ISLAMABAD: Under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP), Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking of another affordable housing project – Farash Town apartments, in the federal capital.
A total of four thousand apartments will be constructed under the affordable housing project, which is aimed at facilitating the low-income segments of the society including workers and labourers.
While speaking on the occasion, PM Khan also announced the government’s plan to equip slums with modern facilities including sanitation and sewerage and distribute houses on proprietary rights among the slum dwellers.
The PM will also perform groundbreaking of the peri-urban housing society for the farmers soon.
In addition, the government has introduced mortgage facilities to help low-income groups secure housing loans to construct their homes.
Along with setting up affordable housing schemes, the Naya Pakistan Housing Program has also impacted the allied industries with the construction sector, as the cement dispatches and sales have registered record-breaking sales.
