
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the very first digital payment system ‘Raast’ which he termed as a revolutionary step towards digitalizing and strengthening the formal economic sector of Pakistan.
The platform is an alternative to the paper money/cash and will help to encapsulate every segment of society, informed Prime Minister Imran Khan while speaking at the launch of Raast.
Moreover, the Prime Minister was of the view that ‘Raast’ will function parallel to ‘Ehsaas’ program which aims to use mobile wallet system, and women’s bank accounts for poverty eradication.
