
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has linked national development with ease of doing business in the country. While meeting a delegation of the country’s business community, he acknowledged that they play an incredible role in the country’s social and economic progress.
The delegation comprised of Mian Mansha, Bashir Ali Muhammad, Khalil Sattar, Khalid Mehmood, Shahid Abdullah, Arif Habib, Musaddiq Zulqarnain, Usman Khalid Waheed, Sikandar Mustafa, Khawar Anwar Khawaja, Ali Habib and Javed Afridi.
Those from the federal government included Hamad Azhar, Syed Ali Zaidi, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Abdul Hafeez Shiekh, Abdul Razak Dawood, Dr Ishrat Hussain, Shabbar Zaidi and other senior officers.
Various issues including taxation, exports, ease of doing business etc. came under discussion. The prime minister ensured the participants that all measures would be put to practice to ensure business-friendly environment in the country. He said that FBR and other regulatory authorities are planning to initiate reforms packages for the exporters and local manufacturers, which will be rolled out soon.
The business community appreciated the PM’s concern and applauded his successful visit to the US and UN.
