PESHAWAR: In a bid to accelerate work on the proposed Gandhara Valley City project, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has approved the formation of a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU).
The decision was passed during the Peshawar Development Authority‘s 7th board meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The chief minister ordered the Peshawar Development Authority to advertise important positions for the PMU’s creation and set timelines for immediately completing the hiring process. The forum was told that “Gandhara Valley City,” stretched across 108000 kanals of land, would include residential and commercial areas, media enclave, provincial administration, among other amenities, and that the city would have state-of-the-art civic services.
