SDPI Joint Executive Director Dr. Vaqar Ahmed said, growth strategy of Punjab government needs to figure out ways private sector could benefit from prospects in CPEC’s following phase. Sectors which can present an opportunity for joint ventures between Chinese and Pakistani companies should also put forward related case studies, he added.

The meeting discussed upon pre-budget proposals for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s first federal budget of 2019-20.

Planning Commission will be framing the 12th Five Year Plan. Whereas, Ministry of Commerce will be articulating a three-year Strategic Trade Policy Framework. Business communities have been asked for an involvement with appropriate departments. Presenting sector specific suggestions is also sought for.
