Quetta: The Balochistan Government has finalised a plan to roll out development projects in Gwadar, including expediting progress on the drinking water projects in the city.
While talking to media, a government official said that development in Gwadar city is the responsibility of the provincial government, for which it has approved huge sums to renovate and construct infrastructure. He further said that the government would construct Eastbay Expressway on an urgent basis, since it is one of the arterial roads leading to Gwadar Port.
The expressway will help connect the port to the network of highways across the country. Secondly, it will facilitate the fishing market to transfer their product to the main market conveniently.
He remarked that various investors including Chinese investors would be invited to invest in the Gwadar Port Free Zone, especially for the establishment of fish processing plants.
