Punjab govt sets aside Rs5.5bn for development schemes

LAHORE: The commissioner Sahiwal Division, Babar Sharif on Wednesday informed that the Punjab government has set aside Rs5.5bn for 197 development schemes in Punjab for the fiscal year 2021-22

According to the details, Rs2000mn has been earmarked for 70 projects in district Sahiwal, Rs1035mn for 54 schemes in district Okara while Rs1051mn for development projects in district Pakpatan.

Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner was of the view that the Punjab government has released the funds for development projects under the district development package.

The commissioner also directed the departments to file the paperwork by the end of July.
