
Lahore: Planning and Development Chairman Habibur Rehman Gillani while chairing a recent meeting said, Punjab will soon launch a strategy for facilitating integrated planning.
The formation of Punjab Spatial Strategy has been done by a large team of experts including GIS practitioners. Inputs have been taken from academia and private businesses. The strategy will equip Punjab with long-term spatial planning, policy making, economics and sustainability.
Strategy will ensure an optimal use of resources. A strong plan for its check and balance will be assigned.
The Planning and Development Board will be the sponsoring agency. Execution will be carried out by the Urban Unit.
