Ravi Riverfront: Govt initiates development work on first zone

ISLAMABAD: Hassan Khawar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on information in a briefing on Sunday informed that the government has initiated development work on the Chahar Bagh – first zone of Ravi Riverfront.

He was of the view that the stretch of 46km along the River Ravi is in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister, Imran Khan and the project will enable the government to control haphazard urbanization in the province.

On the directives of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, the development work is progressing at a rapid pace and it will help to overcome the issues pertaining to traffic, overpopulation and water management, the spokesperson added.

Under the first phase, development work on 15000acres will be completed which will help to create millions of jobs through housing and construction.
