Rawalpindi: In a board meeting of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), chaired by Station Commander Brig Shahzad Tanveer, new by-laws underwent approval. They are in regards to streamline private clinics and hospitals. They will be registered from next month.
While presenting new by-laws, the RCB cantonment executive officer said that they were aimed at improving private health facilities. Fees would be categorized. New fee structure will be manifested and medical waste disposal will meet international standards in cantonment areas.
RCB members also decided on giving contracts to private firms for collection of parking fee in Saddar. Launch of a new water supply project has also been decided on. Illegal marriage halls have been given a month’s time to regularize their properties. The meeting also decided to install digital screens at bus stands for earning finance. Purchase of latest equipment to check contamination in food items has also been approved.
