RAWALPINDI: To ensure transparency, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Ammara Khan has announced to the digitization of records of all the housing societies in Rawalpindi.
To devise an extensive plan, work on the Rawalpindi Masterplan 2020-40 is set to begin by RDA. The plan to be completed in the next three to six months will also include workings to transform the civic agencies in the city.
In addition, RDA had also notified the existing housing authorities to display approved layout plans of the housing societies. Furthermore, the agency also uploaded approved plans of the societies on their official websites.
Earlier, RDA, in collaboration with the Consumer Rights Protection Court, launched an operation to curb illegal housing schemes and scamming people. The cases against the illegal societies were sent to the Sub-Registrar and Assistant Commissioner for further action.
This initiative has been aligned with modern standards that provides ease for the residents of Rawalpindi. Along with this, RDA has also announced to scrutinisation of standards of the work. The development sites of the housing schemes will be examined thoroughly before approval.
