
KARACHI: Remittances transferred through Roshan Digital Accounts reach $400mn in four months, informed the State Bank of Pakistan.
So far, a total of 80,000 Roshan Digital Accounts have been opened by Pakistanis, with most belonging to the Gulf Region, providing 65 per cent of the total remittances to the country.
The Roshan Digital Account initiative was introduced to provide complete digital banking solutions for the overseas Pakistani diaspora, without physically visiting branches, offering ease of payment and investment facilities in various sectors of Pakistan, including real estate, stocks, etc. for them to be able to get impeccable services in their homeland.
