RAWALPINDI: The provincial government is set to allocate Rs192 million for 7 tehsils of Rawalpindi district as part of the development package.
As per details, each tehsil will be allocated a portion of the funds according to the number of union councils and population.
The tehsil of Gujar Khan is the biggest in terms of union councils and population with the population increasing to 565,000 and union councils to 34.
Previously, the Rawalpindi tehsil was the largest. Now it is the second largest with a population of 343,000 and 19 union councils. It has been awarded Rs210 million
According to details, Murree will receive Rs100 million, Kalar Syedan will receive Rs100 million, Kahuta tehsil will receive 800 million and Kotli Satyan will receive Rs50 million
