Under-construction building collapses in Karachi

KARACHI: A four-storey under-construction building collapsed today in Surjani Town, Karachi.

The incident left one labourer dead while ten others sustained critical injuries. Rescue teams were informed right away to save the trapped labourers from under the debris.

The injured were taken to a nearby medical facility, while rescue teams continued their relief efforts as more people are believed to be trapped in the rubble.

To expedite the relief efforts, heavy machinery and a crane were brought in to clear out the remaining rubble of the collapsed building.

Currently, no cause has been identified for the collapse of the under-construction building.
