
ISLAMABAD: In order to address the increasing issues of waste management in Islamabad, Capital Development Authority (CDA) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for the establishment of landfill.
According to the details, the site for the landfill will be demarcated in district Rawalpindi after consultation with the team of RWMC.
While responding to a question in Senate, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan informed that a site stretching over 400kanals will be developed for resolving the issues of waste disposal in the city.
He also told that CDA is going to increase its capacity for the comprehensive collection and disposal of waste in the capital.
