ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Development Working Party (IDWP) approved 18 development projects worth Rs1.35 billion for the federal capital.

The decision was announced in a meeting chaired by Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed.

The meeting also attended by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner, MNA Raja Khurram Nawaz, and other relevant officials deliberated on 18 different schemes under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worth Rs450 million and the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) worth Rs956 million to improve service delivery in the city.

The approved projects included the construction of roads, storm drains, water supply lines and the construction of a tehsil office.

The meeting also reviewed the land revenue records management system. After discussion, the concerned authorities were directed to complete the project within six months.

The meeting also ordered to complete all development projects within the current fiscal year. The concerned departments were instructed to finish work while maintaining the quality standards in all projects by the chief commissioner.
