Selection Process at ASRC Lahore

The selection of candidates wanting to join the Pakistan Army is a thorough and diligent process. After candidates successfully clear the written test on the Pakistan Army’s official website, ASRC Lahore conducts a physical test.

The physical test at ASRC Lahore requires candidates to run 1.6 kilometres in 8 minutes and perform 15 push-ups, chin-ups, and sit-ups within 2 minutes. Candidates who pass the physical test are then scheduled for a medical examination to verify their compliance with the army’s physical requirements.

After candidates pass the medical test, the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) refers them to the final step of the recruitment process. At the ISSB, evaluators assess their physical, mental, and social capabilities. By the end of training, the candidates who successfully pass the ISSB interview receive recommendations for induction into the Pakistan Army.
