QUETTA:  The government of Balochistan is set to launch 28 mega uplift projects in Quetta to address civic issues and develop the city on modern lines.

According to Parliamentary Secretary for Information Bushra Rind, the provincial government has allocated massive funds for the uplift schemes in Quetta aimed at improving the infrastructure in the city.

As per reports, a cancer hospital will be created to cater to cancer patients. 

A 120-bed Quetta Cardiac Hospital will also be developed and completed within the given time frame as 80 percent of the construction work has already been completed. 

According to details, dams will be constructed under the water supply scheme to mitigate the water crisis in Quetta. 

Rehabilitation and upgrading of parks was also approved and funds were arranged. The parks covered under the project include  Liaquat Park, Inscomb road, Benazir Park, Shahbaz Town,  Sadiq Shaheed Park Satellite Town Park, Health Park and Spini Road Park etc.
