The execution of the project began with demolition of the existing structure initially, as the contractor mobilise machinery to carry out the project work.

According to the plan, the bridge to be constructed will be 152 meters long and 11.5 meters wide and is set to be completed within a year.

The poor condition of the bridge was a cause of constant traffic jams on Lehtrar Road that lead from Islamabad Expressway to Tramari and Nilore areas.

For the commuters and people residing nearby, the construction of Burma Bridge will be a relieve as the flow of traffic would be sorted.
