CDA fast tracks road expansion of Islamabad Expressway

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to relieve the issue of traffic congestion on Islamabad Expressway, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has fast-tracked the expansion work of Islamabad Expressway.

According to the details, the expansion of the Koral to Rawat portion is being widened on a priority basis while the PWD underpass has already been completed.

Similarly, the Korang to Soan part of the expressway is developed by FWO at a cost of Rs2.23bn which includes 1.93km of roads and service roads.

The last phase of the project includes the expansion of Soan Bridge which will be initiated in June under PSDP.
