ISLAMABAD: After taking action against reported land sites reserved for parks, the Environment Wing of the Municipal Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) was given charge of 11 sites retrieved by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to establish parks.
The Enforcement Directorate was tasked to recover illegally encroached land utilised as lawns and gardens by nearby residents or for other constructions after demolishing the structures.
The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), helped by the Islamabad police, Environment Wing, Planning Wing and other related offices assisted the directorate authority to recover land reserved for parks.
The sites recovered are located in Street 73, Sector F-11/1, Streets 14 and 8, Sector F-11/1, Street 52 Sector F-11/2, Street 50 Sector F-11/3, street 50, Sector F-11/4, Chaman Road in Sector G-8/1, Rohtas Road in Sector G-9/4, Gali 165 Sector G-11/1, Street 73 Sector G-11/2, Street 109 and 110 Sector G-11/3, and Street 117 Service Road (East) Sector G-11/3.
In addition, the Planning and Estate Wing have been assigned the task to demark three sites reserved for parks, located in Street 100 Sector G-11/3, Street No.67 Sector D-12/2 and park site in Model Town Hummak.
