These plans include the construction of flyovers and underpasses in the main bottlenecks such as Margalla Road in F-10 and E-11. The project is reported to commence in February 2021.

As instructed by the Minister of Interior, about 18 to 21 security check posts have been removed from the roads of Islamabad to aid the flow of traffic and avoid congestion during rush hours.

Besides this, patrol cars will replace check posts for better traffic management.
