ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority CDA has announced to procure land worth Rs3.15bn for the Conduction of Water Project from Indus River System at Tarbela Dam.
The project approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) will be executed under the Private Public Partnership (PPP) and the Federal and Punjab Government will share the PC I cost of the land procurement.
The project will address the existing issue of water shortage experienced in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and will provide a perennial source of potable water supply to fulfil the needs of those residing in the twin cities.
In regard to this, advertisements have been published both nationally and internationally to invite consultancies.
The CDA will acquire 5903.55 kanals land, which will be 50m wide and 44km long.
