CDA to make Islamabad inclusive for differently-abled people

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to make Islamabad inclusive for differently-abled people in a meeting chaired by Chairman Amer Ali.

In the first phase of the initiative, the civic authority will make F-6 Markaz inclusive for differently-abled people by including friendly infrastructure for mobility and accessibility. After that, work will be launched in I-8 Markaz and Aabpara Market.

Apart from this, facilities for people with different disabilities will also be implemented in all buildings, markets, and other public places.

Speaking at the occasion, Chairman CDA emphasised that people with different disabilities are an integral part of society, and CDA is working to facilitate them. 

The meeting was attended by officials from the Presidency, faculty of Architecture Department Comsat University, representatives of NUST University and the National Council of Arts.
