CDWP approves developmental projects worth Rs24bn

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Wednesday, gave approval on four projects related to health, physical planning, and housing sectors worth Rs 24 billion.

According to the details, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan presided over the CDWP’s meeting. In the meeting, a health project was approved that includes the development of cohesive disease surveillance and response system, public Health laboratories network, laboratory training program, and workforce development for the evolution of field epidemiology, for a total amount of Rs.4.544 billion.

Another approved health project pertains to the reinforcement of the capacity for 12 DHQ hospital buildings to cope up with COVID-19 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa worth Rs. 6.513 billion and a pandemic response and national calamities program for an amount of Rs.6.044 billion.

The construction of session division in the mauve area in sector G-11/4 Islamabad for an amount of Rs. 6.95 billion, was also a part of the CDWP meeting.
