CDWP approves Karachi Transformation Plan worth Rs739bn

ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) approved the Karachi Transformation Plan at an estimated cost of Rs739 billion, in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan.

Under this initiative, the authorities will carry out rehabilitation of various amenities, including solid waste management and sewerage treatment, water supply and drainage system, improving road connectivity and mass transit system.

The project will be completed under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) and Public-Private Partnership (PPP), it was announced.

Senior officials from the Planning Commission and Federal Ministries/Divisions and other relevant representatives also attended the meeting.
