CDWP clears four development projects worth Rs136bn

ISLAMABAD: Central Development Working Party (CDWP) cleared Wednesday four development projects worth Rs136.74 billion.
Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr Mohammad Jahanzeb Khan chaired the CDWP huddle.
The participants of the meeting included secretaries of Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Ministry of Communication, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Petroleum. Moreover, the National Highway Authority chairman and other key stakeholders also took part in the meeting.
The forum took up the plan for a polio eradication project worth Rs131.996 billion, replacement of old equipment and procurement of new electro-medical equipment for the National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, Islamabad, worth Rs524.690 million. Moreover, the expansion and up-gradation of Pakistan Petroleum Corehouse for its operations to facilitate oil and gas exploration research worth Rs819.102 million, and the establishment of Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College Mirpur was worth Rs3,400 million.
