CM Punjab announces development projects worth Rs12bn for Sargodha

SARGODHA: While visiting the city, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar announced 45 uplift schemes under a development package of more than Rs12 billion.

The development package is aimed at initiating a new era of prosperity in the region, said CM Punjab on the occasion.

Projects under the package include construction of two-lane Chiniot road from Sargodha project worth Rs7 billion, construction of a two-lane road from Sial Morh to Sargodha project, apart from maintenance of roads, setting up 47 pedestrian bridges, establishing emergency wards and Panahgahs across the city.

The construction of a two-lane road from Mianwali to the Sargodha project will soon be completed.

In a bid to provide commodities at cheaper rates, the Punjab government also announced Ramadan Bazaar package worth Rs7 billion. Furthermore, a sum of Rs2 billion has also been allocated for the sewerage system.

While visiting, CM Punjab inaugurated various projects in the city including, the Botanical garden Miyawaki, Evening Learning Center, DC Complex, and a panahgah.

The attendees of the event including Provincial Minister for Labor and Manpower Ansar Majeed Khan Niazi, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Parliamentary Secretary for Excise and Narcotics Faisal Farooq Cheema, MNA Amir Sultan Cheema, Ministers of the Provincial Assembly Muneeb Sultan Cheema, Ghulam Ali Asghar Lahri and Iftikhar Gondal and other relevant officials.
