CM Punjab urges timely completion of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

LAHORE: In the light of increasing population and growing demand of low-income housing, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has urged relevant authorities to speed up the construction of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

The CM issued the aforementioned directives as he presided over a meeting at his office on Thursday to review the housing sector’s pace of progress.

“There are vast opportunities for investment in the housing sector,” said Buzdar. “Due to the increasing population, there is a need to establish new cities, new housing schemes. The Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme will serve to fulfil the dreams of the low-income group of owning a house in their lifetime.”

He added that active participation of the private sector will generate positive results in the housing sector.

Provincial ministers Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Mussarat Jamshed Cheema MPA, Chief Secretary, Vice Chairman LDA Sheikh Muhammad Imran, Deputy Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, finance secretary, DG LDA and others were in attendance at the meeting.
