RAWALPINDI: In the 45th meeting of the governing body of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) presided over by RDA Director General (DG) Ammara Khan, the approval to construct 10-storey buildings and partial use of residential premises for commercial purposes was given.
Following the building bylaws of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the approval was given in a meeting attended by Managing Director (MD) WASA Muhammad Tanvir and MPAs including Haji Amjad Mehmood, Nasreen Tariq, and other relevant officials.
While deliberating on the LDA Building and Zoning Regulations (2019), the attendees decided to implement the plan with some amendments.
The new regulations will permit people to allocate the proportion of 10% of a residential building for commercial activities.
After charging a heave penalty, the meeting has decided to regularise unauthorized structures as per the approved building plans.
