KARACHI: The development work in Gwadar and projects related to CPEC have picked up the pace even during the Covid-19 pandemic, informed Chairman of China Overseas Port Handling Company.
According to the details, projects worth $500mn have already been developed on the Gwadar port while the additional projects related to the development of Gwadar International Airport, Pak-China Friendship Hospital, Pak-China skill development, 300MW coal power plant will be developed with the financial support of China.
Simultaneously, industrialisation in Gwadar, and along the CPEC will also progress at a rapid pace with industries related to petrochemicals, cement, mobile processing, edible oil, and home accessories will be established.
