A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq and Lahore Expo Centre for taking care of managerial matters of the Faisalabad Expo centre.

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) was directed by the adviser to ensure that FIEDMC took part in all international trade exhibitions as it would shift the country from a consumption driven to an investment driven economy.

The FIEDMC chairman briefed the adviser on investment, development and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) progress, electricity provision, investor’s protection and steps to attract investment in the Allama Iqbal Industrial City built under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to Ashfaq, the new expo centre post completion will attract greater facilities and more trade, foreign and local investors for enhancing exports and narrowing gaps between imports and exports.
