Islamabad’s Capital Territory is set to get its own Capital House in Sector F-5 following the approval of the project’s PC-I by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The decision came during a meeting of the CDA Development Working Party, chaired by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where several major development schemes worth over Rs. 83 billion were also approved.
The Capital House—estimated at Rs. 3.2 billion—will be designed on the pattern of existing provincial houses in Sindh, Punjab, KP, and Balochistan. The facility aims to unify dispersed government accommodations into a modern, centralized complex. Construction is expected to start soon and finish within 24 months.
The CDA additionally approved Rs. 3 billion for building residential units for government officers. The proposed high-rise structure will include a ground floor plus 14 stories, along with complete electrical, mechanical, and horticultural works.
Another project approved was the Rs. 635 million upgrade of the Diplomatic Enclave, scheduled for completion within six months. The initiative aims to improve infrastructure and facilities for diplomats and government officials stationed in the enclave.
