The announcement was made in a notification issued, which also state that the construction work to be launched after all precautionary measures are implemented by the concerned officials amidst the outbreak of coronavirus.

However, the date of completion has not yet been finalised by the authorities as work on the reconstruction of one of the tracks is still underway.

In a bid to reduce friction and avert the risk of traffic accidents on a road near the Firdous feeder route, the authorities had decided to construct the road.

Due to this, the completion of the BRT project will take a while.
