LDA demolishes multiple illegal structures

LAHORE: The Town Planning Zone of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) authorised the demolition and sealing of various illegal structures scattered across the city. 

According to a spokesman, the regulatory body dismantled illegal shops in Old Kahna, two commercial buildings on Ferozepur Road, and a building in Gajju Matah. The LDA also sealed unauthorised shops on Mader-e-Millat Road. 

There were more than 40 illegal shops, plazas and showrooms that were deemed illegitimate by the courts. 

Police officials and LDA squad were present throughout the operation.

LDA Director General Chaudhry Muhammad Ali stated that any illegal construction and commercial projects will not be condoned within the jurisdiction.
