ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Germany sign a financial cooperation agreement worth €129 million to develop several projects.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan.
Projects pertaining to hydropower, renewable energy & solar energy, digital governance, and startups’ promotion will be set up. The agreement was signed after negotiations between the two governments were held.
The Pakistani delegation was represented by Secretary of Economic Affairs Division Mian Asad Hayauddin, whereas Commissioner for Asia at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Gisela Hammerschmidt represented the German side. The delegation also included officials from Foreign Office, KfW, GIZ and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR).
