Release of Rs257.17 bn approved by the Federal Government

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has released Rs257.17 billion including Rs53.62 billion foreign aid for various ongoing and new development projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20 against the total budgeted allocation of Rs701 billion.

According to latest data of PSDP 2019-20 released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, the government released Rs113.95 billion including Rs7.88 billion foreign aid for department projects under various ministries, divisions and related departments out of Rs303.66 billion budgeted allocation.

Rs80.029 billion was released by the government for development projects of National Highway Authority (NHA) out of Rs154.966 billion budgeted allocation, and Rs26.78 billion have been released for Security Enhancement against Rs32.5 billion budgeted allocation.

Various other development projects of government departments have also been given funds under the PSDP 2019-20. The funds are released as per quarterly ceilings; first quarter (July-September) 20%, second quarter (October-December) 20%, third quarter (January-March) 30 %, and fourth quarter (April-June) 30 %.
