Rent Control Act for Islamabad presented in National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: An amended bill of the Rent Restriction Act has been submitted to the National Assembly, announced former Finance Minister and MNA Asad Umer while briefing the business community at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

He further informed that the legislative bill passed by its relevant standing committee was yet to be passed by the National Assembly, expressing his hope for the bill to be passed soon.

After streamlining the process of law-making through Parliament, this bill will cater to the needs of the traders of the federal capital and be a step in resolving the issues being currently faced by the authorities.

A meeting with Ali Nawaz Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on CDA affairs was also announced that will reflect on CDA-related issues and resolve matters to create an enabling business environment.
