The work on the project – scheduled to be completed within two years, will be launched by mid-April, after a public hearing session by the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA) to minimize its implications on the environment.

The construction of the 38km long road project – worth Rs23bn, will commence from Bandh, near GT Road, Rawat, as per the design submitted by NESPAK.
