Sindh Barrage Project’s feasibility study to be concluded by September 

ISLAMABAD: Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives presided over a meeting on Wednesday to assess the progress of the Sindh Barrage Project. The main aim of the project is to promise the consistent availability of freshwater in south Kotri/delta.

According to the officials, the feasibility study is in progress and would be concluded by September 2021. The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) officials were directed to accelerate the work on the feasibility study.

As per the details, WAPDA officials were also directed to make certain that the benefits of the project for the local communities should be clearly emphasized to assist the Government in making apt investments in the project.
