Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said development works including construction of six flyovers in Karachi’s District Central along the route of the Green Line project and the reconstruction of Manghopir and Nishtar roads are scheduled to be finished by next month.

The Green Line route will run for 35km of the total 109km of dedicated bus routes under the Karachi Metrobus project. Upon completion, it is projected to become the largest metro bus network in Pakistan.

The Green Line BRT project was allocated Rs8 billion from a total package of Rs162 billion announced by the federal government last year for the development of Karachi.

The top-level meeting was held at the Governor House and was co-chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar along with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi.
