Tender of Ring Road project expected next week

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, the minister was informed that the tender of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Ring Road project will be floated next week.

The briefing on the project was given by Commissioner Rawalpindi meanwhile, the Special Minister to Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority (CDA) and representatives of the planning ministry also attended the meeting.

While briefing, Commissioner Rawalpindi informed the minister that the Ring Road will span over an area of 64km which will traverse across Rawat, M2, and M3 Sangjani point.  

Commenting on the progress of the Ring-Road project, the minister said that the Ring-Road project will solve the traffic and commuting problems of the twin cities.
