Tourism policy revamped, Punjab CM

LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said that a new tourism policy has been prepared to boost tourism in Pakistan.

Concerning World Tourism Day, he talked about the lacking growth in previous governments in Pakistan. He said that the tourism sector was ignored in the past but is now among the top priorities of the PTI government. He expressed confidence in the tourism potential of Pakistan and informed that effective measures are being adopted to provide the best facilities to tourists along with the rapid improvement of tourist-spots.

Applauding the measures taken to improve the law and order in the country, CM Buzdar talked about the recent increase in the influx of international tourists in Pakistan. He talked about the restoration of historical government buildings. He said that 177 rest houses had been open for public in Punjab and new tourist spots were being developed in the province.
