LAHORE: The consumption of cement grew 5.04 per cent to 3.520 million tonnes across Pakistan in the Fiscal Year 2020-21, announced the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
The cement dispatched in the local market grew by 4.84% and were recorded at 2.794 million tonnes in August of the current FY, as compared to 2.665 million tonnes last year, informed the spokesperson of APCMA.
The exports in August of the current FY were recorded at 0.725 million tonnes, marking a growth of 5.82%, as compared to 0.685 million tonnes exported last year.
The sales in the first two months of the current fiscal year (2020-21) jumped by 21.78% to 8.358 MT, in comparison to 6.863 million tonnes of the corresponding period last year.
