History 

The written chronicles of the tehsil date back to the Mughal period. The Ain-i-Akbari, a 16th-century Mughal Empire administrative chronicle, refers to it. According to the text, Dunyapur is an administrative division, of Multan’s Sarkar, or province.  

Situated in the Bet Jalandhar Doab, the tehsil made substantial money (1,876,862 dams) and supplied the Mughal army with a military contingent of 50 cavalry and 400 infantries. 

There is less certainty regarding Dunyapur’s past after the Mughal era. On the other hand, we are aware that Dunyapur and Kahror Pakka were added to the Lodhran tehsil in 1924.
