Islamabad: The Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al-Thani have signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on vital developments in bilateral trades including money laundering, financial intelligence, terror financing and in the fields of trade, investment and tourism. The ceremony was held at the PM House.
Memorandum for establishment of Pakistan-Qatar joint working group on trade and investment. Was signed between Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and Qatari Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi. Another MoU on cooperation in the fields of tourism and business events was signed between Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr Fahmida Mirza and Secretary General of Qatar National Tourism Council Akbar Al Baker. The third MoU was signed in the fields of exchange of financial intelligence, anti-money laundering and to check terror financing.
Qatari Emir will soon announce an investment worth $22billion for Pakistan covering these sectors.
